A fire at a Southside landmark appears to be minor, but it hasn't slowed business.

Staff at The Kountry Kastle told West Kentucky Star that preliminary indications are that the fire was related to the neon lights atop the building, but that remains under investigation. No official cause has been determined.

The restaurant is open and it is business as usual for the 85-year-old establishment. We are told that the only change is that the room directly below where the fire took place is still closed.

Customers and employees were forced to evacuate The Kountry Kastle as a precaution when flames erupted on the roof Monday night.
